Also, you could download a portable/zip version of Notepad++ and unzip into a known folder (like on your desktop) and run from there – without changing any settings other than going to darkmode, and not adding any of your other plugins – and see if the portable copy has the same problem – if it works fine in the portable but not in your normal installation, then it’s probably a setting you have somewhere (either your custom theme, or some other setting). To quickly verify if it’s a plugin, exit out of Notepad++ and then try running with the -noPlugin command-line option, and see if the problem still exists – if it does when you run like that, then it’s definitely not a plugin.
